Yom Ha-Atsmaut

We celebrate Yom Ha-Atsmaut, Israel Independence Day, with the recitation of the full Hallel – with a blessing – in our morning services. For many years, Shearith Israel has sponsored celebratory events – often together with other synagogues and organizations – to rejoice together as a community on the re-establishment of Jewish sovereignty over the Land of Israel after nearly 2000 years of exile.
