Dalya Stokar &
Jake Frankel

Dalya is originally from West Orange, New Jersey where she attended Jewish day school and high school. Before entering Washington University, Dalya spent a gap year at Harova, a seminary in Jerusalem’s Old City where she studied Jewish texts and improved her Hebrew. In between college and law school, Dalya was a teacher at a Jewish day school in St. Louis, teaching in the second and third grades.

Jake is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. Until fifth grade he attended a conservative day school before switching to public school where he served as the founder and President of the Jewish Students’ Association. Before college—also WashU, Jake also spent his gap year in Orayta Yeshiva in Jerusalem’s Old City where he deepened his connection to Israel. Jake also spent many summers as a camp counselor at Camp Moshava of Wild Rose, WI, where he mentored kids of all ages.

While at WashU, Dalya and Jake were both active members of its Jewish community. Jake served as the founder and editor in chief of WashU’s Jewish weekly newspaper, “The Shtick.” Currently, they are both second-year law students: Dalya at NYU Law where she serves as the treasurer for NYUs’ Law Students Against Antisemitism club, and Jake, at Cardozo Law where he is a member of the Jewish Law Students Association.

Newly married, Dalya and Jake live on the Upper West Side. They are excited to be working together as a team and look forward to meeting all our families.
