Shabbat Noah, October 20-21
The 5784 season premiere of Rabbi Soloveichik’s Friday Night Lights kicks off with a special talk inspired by our symbols of hope, our three sets of Myer Myers rimonim. Admired by experts and collectors of American Judaica, these rimonim are all in ritual use at Shearith Israel during the High Holidays season soon after which they are reloaned to their temporary abodes at the New-York Historical Society, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and at the Touro Synagogue, respectively. Myer Myers was the preeminent Jewish silversmith of the colonial era, a congregant and Parnas (President) of Shearith Israel.
Come for one, come for all!
