Two of the most recognized names on the international Yiddish music scene join us for an entrancing concert at the covered outdoor space of Shearith Israel. Long before klezmer encountered the sounds of clarinets and brass, the fiddle and tsimbl (dulcimer) expressed the heart and soul of Central and Eastern European Jewish music.
From rollicking dance tunes to old spiritual melodies and Yiddish folk songs to beautiful Sephardic folk selections and virtuosic original compositions, the duo will reflect the broad traditions of the Jewish diaspora.
