As part of experiencing freedom ourselves, we must also ensure that our fellow Jews have the means to celebrate freedom too. Maot Hittim is a special Passover fund, originally intended to provide the poor with matzah.

Your online gift or check made out to the “Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund” (indicate “maot hittim” in the memo) will be distributed by Rabbi Soloveichik right before Pesah.

This year, in addition to collecting Maot Hittim to benefit members of our own kehilla (and beyond), we are collecting funds to support Masbia’s kosher-for-Passover emergency food efforts. Masbia tells us that they are facing very difficult times raising funds to feed the hungry in our community, as many people have diverted their dollars to Israel. We need to do both.

Please help us fund a full truckload of kosher chicken so that families in need can prepare holiday meals with dignity in their own homes for Passover.
