2022 Spring Fundraiser

SANCTUARIES AND CITIES: Synagogues of the World and the Stories They Tell

An 8-Part Series by Rabbi Meir Soloveichik

CLICK HERE to register or sponsor.

Join Rabbi Soloveichik on a unique tour of historic synagogues around the world.  In Europe, in America, in the Middle East, stand synagogues of Jewish history, many centuries old. Each of them tells tales of leaders and heroes, its tragedies and its triumphs, so that to visit them, to stand in their sanctuaries, to hear the voices that echo, is to tour the the Diaspora itself, and to meet the Jews of London, Krakow, Rome, Prague, Newport, Cairo, Amsterdam and Venice.  We will learn how these communities and extraordinary edifices came into being, controversies and the legends that suffused them, and the sacrifices and faith that they embody. To rediscover these synagogues is to encounter Jewish history itself, and we will discover them together. (Note: these lectures won’t be recorded.)

Registration is free, but sponsorships are greatly appreciated as this special series serves as our Congregation’s annual Spring Fundraiser and provides essential support to our Congregation.

All sponsors will be recognized in a beautiful content-rich commemorative booklet that will be mailed out after the series.
