Tuesday Night Class: The Gondola Rabbi

Baruch-Lev’s weekly class, The Gondola Rabbi, will delve into the life and works of the little known but enormously influential Simone Simha Luzzato. A proud Venetian, Simone served as dayan alongside Leone da Modena and presided over landmark cases, including the notorious Mikveh of Rovigo. Simone was also a staunch defender of Judaism on the public stage. Each class will examine one aspect of his life.
