We regret to inform you of the passing of our long-time member and honorary trustee, Col. Jonathan de Sola Mendes, father of Eliza de Sola Mendes and of Joshua (Shira) de Sola Mendes, grandfather of Daniel (Kate) de Sola Marks and of Benjamin de Sola Marks.
The Funeral will take place on Thursday, June 12th, at 12:00 pm at Riverside Memorial Chapel (Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street).
Interment to follow at Shearith Israel Cemetery (Beth Olam) located at the intersection of the Jackie Robinson Parkway and Cypress Hills Street, in Ridgewood, Queens.
Shib`ah will be observed at 1185 Park Avenue #1-I, New York, NY 10128.
Visiting hours:
Thursday: 5:30 – 9:00 pm (services at 8 pm)
Friday: 10 am-2 pm
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 5:30- 9:00 pm (services at 8 pm)
Shib`ah will conclude early Wednesday morning.
