We mourn the passing of our member, Leon Hyman

We regret to inform you of the passing of our longtime member and friend Mr. Leon Hyman. Mr. Hyman was Shearith Israel’s choirmaster from 1955-2021. He is survived by his wife Adah and children Ilana, Adam, and Ariella Hyman.

The funeral will take place Monday, January 2nd at 1:00 pm at Shearith Israel’s cemetery (Beth Olam) in Ridgewood, Queens.

Due to a COVID-19 related health issue in the family, in-person visitation for the remainder of the Hyman Shib’ah will no longer take place.
