Shabuot Public Lecture

The Final Installment in Our "Israel At 70" Series

Rabbi Soloveichik will deliver another intriguing lecture at what has become a prime Shabuot learning destination on the Upper West Side. 

This year, the lecture will be the final installment in his Israel At 70 series, on the topic of "Jews, Gentiles, and Jerusalem, 1818-2018: A Biblical Perspective."

After the talk, guests are encouraged to enjoy some cheesecake!

Omer Board

Shearith Israel’s “Omer Board” dates back to the Mill Street Synagogue of 1730, and may indeed go back to the early years of the Congregation’s history. 

Crosby Street Synagogue

 In 1834 the congregation built a new synagogue on Crosby Street, between Broom and Spring Street.
