HEBRA HASED VA AMET -
founded 1802 The Hebra Hased Va Amet is the oldest existing Jewish philanthropic organization in New York City. Its primary tasks are twofold; provide the traditional and loving services of a Hebra Kaddisha; provide dignified burials for indigents. The society continues its support of the Congregation's cemeteries with the contribution to the Capital Fund. These funds are specifically earmarked for cemetery maintenance. We thank and appreciate members for their support and we invite non-members to join The Hebra Hased Va Amet. |
